Hi, my name is Capt. Ray Peterson and my business is showing clients great times on the water, making life long memories. As a matter of fact, this is all I know how to do and I’m extremely good at it! I’m as professional as they come give me the opportunity to get you hooked on the water, if you’re not already. I’m driven by passion with the personality to please and family oriented values. Fishing is what I do. This is not the guide service that subcontracts other boats, captain or crew for commission.

Thanks for the great trip
First Class fishing charters truly showed us a wonderful evening. We caught Tarpon, Snook, Jacks, Snappers, Moonfish. The Tarpon we landed was on 8lb light spinning gear, it was just perfect. These guys are First Class… I am for sure a repeat customer!
Thank you for a good fishing trip!
First Class charters was professional and knowledgable. The boat was clean and nice which is hard to find in my experience. We caught lots of different fish and had a very enjoyable tour as well. I would highly recommend. 5 stars.

We had a great time with Capt. Ray
I would highly recommend this Charter service. The fishing was great and the captain was very fun and entertaining too. Caught my personnel best fish of my life. Awesome time! Thanks again. Scott Fata
I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for taking us fishing.
I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for taking us fishing. We had a blast and my daughter keeps asking when we can go again. Its challenging to keep a 6 year old interested in fishing but you always make it happen. From teaching her how to bait the hook,to helping her land her biggest bass your operation is first class. Now that you’ve showed us what the freshwater has to offer,we will see you in August for that “wide open” snook trip we talked about.

I strongly recommend him for both in-shore and off-shore fishing.
I have had the opportunity to fish with Captain Ray on several occasions when visiting south Florida. He is very knowledgeable about the area’s fisheries (both freshwater and saltwater) which leads to great days on the water. All his equipment and tackle is top notch, which greatly improves the fishing experience. Unlike most charter captains that stick to a strict schedule, Ray is extremely flexible, in both start and stop times, as well as the duration of fishing. He is a great conversationalist and patient with kids. I strongly recommend him for both in-shore and off-shore fishing.

Ft. Lauderdale Snook fishing at its finest!
With the fall Mullet run in its beginning stages, about 2 weeks now, fish are feeding aggressively. I have been getting a bite on nearly every bait that hits the water. Not tons of bait, just enough to keep them wanting more. Snook are averaging 30-40 inches +. Lots of action on both tides, and

Barracuda numbers are increasing inshore
I’ve been seeing a large increase in the local inshore population of Barracuda. For years I saw a steady decrease but with some state bag and size regulation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife their numbers have begun to increase again. In the past 2 weeks I have boated 5 fish over 35 inches and

Mullets are here
Mullets are showing up getting blasted by big Tarpon on Ft. Lauderdale beach and in the inshore lights. Slow trolling live Mullet down deep around the bait showers has been the trick for getting that big Tarpon bite. Some decent Mangrove Snapper in the 12-15 inch range and slot sized Snook have been biting around various inshore structure

Sailfish Action is hot!
Lots of Sailfish around as our winter is here. Kite fishing with live bait has been the most effective but trolling will produce fish also.. The best depth has been 100-200 ft offshore… Bait of choice is live Goggle eyes, Herring, Sardines, and Ballyhoo… Good luck and go fishing!!
